What we really need is for them to make libel illegal. I know, that's kind of controversial, because it would mean there'd be lawsuits and stuff.

I don't know if you Americans are familiar with the concept of lawsuits, it probably has never happened over here.

I suspect the manner in which these people will be "gone after" by the Trump admin, will be through legal processes.

To inevitably be followed by complaints about how terrible all these judges are and how life is so unfair.

I frequently lie awake at night worrying that one day I might inadvertently become a billionaire, with all the victimhood that would bring.

    Billionaires shouldn't complain. Hot take.

And just like that, legal process itself is suspect. I know, we can play rhetorical games all day. It's why this place is so compelling, everybody is convinced by craftily crafted words. Immerse each other in our emotional perspectives masquerading as reason. I love it!

Well it isn’t actually illegal to spread lies and propaganda, which Elon Musk under appreciates. He’s almost certainly the single largest individual spreader of lies and propaganda the earth has ever seen.

One of the biggest lies in the history of the U S. was the Biden cover-up.

And none of you Trump hating muthafuckers said barely a word, except to lie and deny what everybody could see.

So pardon me if I doubt your veracity when it comes to this administration. I know you nitpicking nabobs of negativity would love to see this country fail, because winning has replaced what you think about the country and at least half the people who live in it

If I was close enough I'd spit on you.

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but nobody here didn’t notice and comment on Biden’s obvious incapacity for the job.

And surely the Soviet Union and other nations have spread far more lies and propaganda. But Elon probably leads the world in doing so as an individual, out of all the human beings who have ever lived. No one in the past had the reach.

I would say in the top three. He faces some pretty stiff competition for the top spot from Putin and even his own boss, Trump.

He had moments of lucidity (not brilliance). Like the SOTU last year. Everyone expected him to fall flat on his face, but he didn’t. It finally happened at the debate.

Hard to pull the plug on someone who can be “on” (I use that term loosely) at some points.

He was already on that decline when he was voted in, so it wasn’t a surprise. I think that reflects more on Trump. The dems did get their comeuppance where it mattered too - at the ballot box.

Tiberius was right. Most people don’t want freedom. They want a kind master. That’s certainly the case, to a person, with the maga movement.

Hence the tie-in with monotheistic religious fervor.
