Sounds like a refreshing drink! Cheers!!

Nicholas Idiart Blanc De Blanc Brut. Nice French bubbly for $17. Went well with grilled swordfish and a simple green salad.

I couldn't wait for the weekend.
The great thing about vodka is that, despite what the marketing weasels may claim, there isn't really any such thing as top shelf vodka.
Obviously, mine was hand-crafted in small batches by Patagonian villagers working under the direct supervision of the Archbishop of Canterbury, but it still only cost $20!

What's to be top shelf about a spirit where the goal is to be tasteless?
People are willing to pay $30 for a bottle of iceberg water, so presumably they're also happy to pay $500 for vodka that's been filtered through a Russian oligarch's cat's digestive tract.
When I was a kid, we drank 'Vladivar vodka', distilled not in Vladivostok, but in exotic Warrington.

I mean, c'mon. Gin has a distinctive (and delicious) flavor, as do whiskies. Vodka is just for teh alcohol.
Which brings the question why are YOU daydrinking?

I'm thinking about drinking. Daythinking.
Incidentally, that Vladivar used to cost the princely sum of 1.20 GBP for a half-bottle, if memory serves, and could be conveniently secreted into the inner pocket of a Crombie overcoat, which were all the rage back then.

This was just dropped off in my office
It will be difficult for it to make it through the day…

I asked about it at the local liquor store the other day, they didn't have it. So I told them my best friend in Virginia is going to mail be a bottle. THANKS LD!
