Memory is the second thing to go. I've forgotten what the first one is.

Trump really likes the "straight out of central casting" types.

          Education is extremely important.

I suspect he's being brought in as the hatchet man. This will be a short-lived appointment.

I've heard Bongino talk about his family. Supposedly a good many were law enforcement. One uncle was FBI, I think. They considered him as reaching the pinnacle of law enforcement.

OK, I looked him up. 17 years in Law enforcement, 13 in Secret Service, plus education. OK. I'm good.

He has basic qualifications in law enforcement.

It’s unfortunate Kash broke his promise to the line agents though. It took him mere hours.

Also I’m not a fan of putting someone in that position who makes his money demonizing half the population and is pretty open about it. Worse still, that’s how he will continue to make his money when this gig ends.

                        Only non-witches get due process.

Of course not. But I would hope that this is not the #1 reason he was hired.

We manage to appoint "apolitical" ambassadors (i.e. career state dept. people), so no reason it could be done in other places.

Couldn't remember if we'd had a thread on Trump naming Dan Bongino as Assistant FBI director.

Bongino leaves a $5,000,000 radio show and podcast to take a what, approximately $200k salary?

                            Pretty sure he answered this.

"Power... fucking power. That's all that matters. Power. Checks and balances? HA! That's a good one."

Yup, seems appropriate to lead the justice department.
