I went to the gym in THE MORNING!!!

Went to two very interesting meetings, had a lovely French Champagne with my bride, talked to my brother for half an hour, now cooking up some Skyline.

All in all not bad. I’m seeing very fast muscle and strength growth with current workout - 13 machines, 3 sets on each. First set is maximum weight - 4 to 7 reps. Second a little less but 9-12 reps, third set for endurance, lower weight, 15-20 reps.

Worked mostly on some music and a bit of reading later in the afternoon- The Burgundians: A Vanished Empire . author: Van Loo, Bart, 2019. Good read, well researched.

      Elbows up!

        Most interesting?

        With the wife or without?

This is the first day in about a week since I came down with the flu where victory over the invaders seemed certain. I did an online pilates workout. Tomorrow, I'll get back to weights and probably run on Saturday. It's nice to start to feel almost well again.

Other than that, just biding my time before the apocalypse. Tomorrow, I may make plans.

My piano teacher cancelled today due to exhaustion from overwork. He's teaching another piano professor's studio while she recovers from something or other. He's always very apologetic and I'm always happy to help when these things come up, which they do pretty often. The advantage of having a relatively open schedule. Anyway, if I'd had the lesson today, that would have been the most interesting part of my day. As it is, I'm feeling tired, and I'll go to sleep early. Maybe I'll go to the gym first and do some lat pulldowns and seated rows.

Finishing up a relatively uninteresting project at work, after which I'll start on an interesting one. Finding the circular droplets in an image, then looking inside the droplets to characterize the vertically lined up beads. I have the visualization and UI part of the tool written, but not the algo yet.

@kluurs His favorite of all the fugues, the E Major from WTC2. Along with the prelude.

We had a HOA Rules & Regs review meeting last night. It will take several weeks to review and update the Rules & Regs.

We have had 2 votes so far, both were unanimous if you don't count my vote. This is going to be a long process.

Eh, so far, serviceable. No out-and-out blunders, so now it's a matter of "how good can I get it?" Gonna try to get it into a good place here and there over the weekend.

Had a good parent-teacher conference with our 1st grader's teacher. Our oldest kid has always been a unicorn... smart and polite, so we are lucky. They're already doing fractions in 1st grade!

Also I'm in the midst of the worst time of the year (kidding), my mom's birthday is 2/13, valentine's day is 2/14, and my wife's birthday is 2/15. On the 4th day, I rest.

We used to have so many birthdays in February (sadly, some have now moved on) we'd just buy one full-size sheet birthday cake, put nine names on it and throw one big party.

                              Fun times.

LOL... my wife has made it clear that Valentine's Day and her birthday are two very separate celebrations. Although at this point in our life, Valentine's Day is 99% giving the kids a little gift, chocolate, and cards. They love it.

We just decided that last year’s cards were unbeatable so we’d just use them again. Going out to dinner to a fun Latin place. Great margaritas.

We're going to a local Argentine/Italian place. Bonus is that the realtor that sold us our house gave us a $50 gift certificate when we moved in.

My parents in law give the same card each year. They've been doing it for like 20 years. Same card. Honestly, I'd be cool with that... one card even has a battery operated sound and it is still going!
