I'm saying a person who can win a seat and then keep being reelected to that seat is not as stupid as we often portray them to be.

So we should accept what she says as well thought out because she was re-elected?
Let's accept for a moment that she's good at getting re-elected. Does that mean she's good at the job?
I don't know about you, but I've worked with numerous people who were promoted to senior management who I wouldn't trust to tie their own shoes unassisted. "But they got promoted, they must be smart!".

I very much value anonymity in this world, and my priority is my family. Thus, getting a stable well-paying job with personal privacy is important to enable their comfort.
But I'm confused, are you saying making it into Congress means you're smart and/or not loony? Have you seen who's made it in? Some bright minds and some absolute morons.

My guess is he’s not saying that.
This is him not wanting to defend her on the merits but not wanting to abandon his team either. -
After four years of talking about The Resident, can't we acknowledge that sometime elected representatives aren't the brightest bulbs?

Some are smarter than others, no doubt. And some act like idiots, often just for show.
But if you think they're as stupid as portrayed, next time you want something from them, start off by telling them how stupid they are.
Maybe your truth shall set you free.

I think there's a bit of a double standard being applied here, Jolly. You have had absolutely no problem in describing politicians from the opposing party in nothing but the most derisory terms. And now, suddenly, respect is in order.

I have no problem describing some GOP pols in derisive terms. Right now, McConnell is being a political idiot out of pique.
But regardless of party, the point I'm making is that true idiots don't become successful. In any field.

That's not been my experience, although I guess it depends on what you mean by 'successful'. Getting a highly paid or difficult job isn't necessarily success.

Anna Paulina Luna (née Mayerhofer, later Gamberzky
In 2019, she took her maternal grandmother's maiden name, Luna, to represent her Hispanic heritage. She did this to follow suit from her mother who had first changed her surname to the same, following a finalized divorce. Luna began describing herself as Hispanic in 2019. However, when she registered to vote in 2015, she had marked her ethnicity as "White, not of Hispanic origin."
Sen Warren is her racial mentor.
