I spent a few weeks there with UMASS. I'd never think of it as that progressive. Nice area, actually.
Just sounds like virtue signaling for no particular reason. No one is coming for trans folks. It's just drumming up the anti-Trump camp and continuing to make the Democratic party look out of touch with the nation's voters.

Worcester's like most of New England in that regard. The majority of people are just getting on with it, and aren't particularly political. The meeting looks as though it had attracted a lot of activists.

The republicans are probably making those activists wealthy, and firmly identified with the dems.
They are among the best things that ever happened to the republicans.
Yep. The Dems finally stumbled on an issue where they were painted into a corner with their social justice absolutism. Many of them appear willing to die there, and die they will. Luxury principles, held by people who don't genuinely believe winning and compromising are viable options. Because they don't genuinely believe that the other side winning, is really that terrifying.

Or they’re afraid of what the trans folks will do if they vote it down. Did you watch the video?
Just did. It makes one reconsider eugenics.
Part of eugenics is breeding. Any old country boy knows you don't breed two scrubs and always produce a prize heifer or bull. Can't say never, though. Strange things happen, but they're out of the ordinary.
