Phila Over KC in the big game (Super Bowl)

@Horace said in Phila Over KC in the big game (Super Bowl):
Almost every commercial tries to be as heavy handed with the emotional manipulation
And DEI
The NFL loves DEI
Brady was OK, he talked about himself a little too much during the 4th quarter.
And they brough the masturbaters back for the halftime show. That makes maybe 3 of the last 4 halftime shows where the headliner was masturbating on stage. One was a pregnant woman, or maybe she was just obese.
Is this a DEI thing?wrote on 10 Feb 2025, 03:13 last edited by Copper 2 Oct 2025, 03:24This post is deleted! -

I just read that they performed the black national anthem before the game.
I didn't see it, I had forgotten about it. It is a mistake.

Jalen Hurts was fine, MVP should have gone to Sweat or D-Line as a whole.

A classic example of defense wins games. An elite team couldn't get any sort of offense going at all.

An interesting analysis that pins the blame on Reid.

Brady is not good in the booth.

I had the same thought. He speaks confidently, but if you listen to his words he is just stating the most obvious tropes. At least Romo or Manning would provide insights into the upcoming plays and what to expect.

Yeah that was my take. The game ended and I thought... did the chiefs get off more than 3 actual plays? They were ambushed the entire time, big credit to the eagles D line...

Gronk wasn't good either. Stiff and uninteresting.

See, I didn’t even think he sounded confident. There were a LOT of breaks in his sentences. It felt like he had things memorized to say and was trying to remember the next part. Plus, his voice just isn’t pleasant. It’s thin.

Agreed. And he had that $750,000 yellow watch on. At least he was on-time for the broadcast.

His famed preparation habits are a good fit for playing the game, but maybe not for covering a game.

As an old coach once told the O-line, The quarterback can't throw on his ass!

Brees was a bust as a color guy. Great football mind, but couldn't wrap the insights into appropriate-sized word bites and when he tried to shorten up, managed to convey nothing of interest.
He was much better with the Mannings.

Pat Summerall and John Madden
And we knew way back when that they could not be replaced.

The original MNF crew was pretty good, too.

I don’t mind Collinsworth.
