              Restaurant management is female dominated? Maybe. It’s not obvious to me like some of the others.

                  Biology is the one that surprised me. He's a pharmacist, so I think he's fudging a bit. My primary care doc was a biology major. My dentist was a biology major. My physical therapist was a biology major. My lawyer was not a biology major, unless you factor in all the time he spent studying the female reproductive system.

                  Regardless, a biology degree can stand for some jobs on its own, like a career as a wildlife biologist, but often it's a gateway degree for professional school, including a PharmD.

                    My mathematics and physics degree was a complete waste of bloody time except that it got me a job.

                    If I'd spent the three years studying the arts of love, I could be a highly paid professional gigolo by now, which is kind of like biology.
