Very cool story. Thanks for sharing. I can't imagine the amount of maintenance that is required for the house and lands.

What a time capsule. I could never sell something that had been in my family for 700 years, but I could see establishing some sort of trust that converts it into a museum and public park land while preserving the history.
Update: Looks like it's already available for tours and events.
