At my daughter's high school today they went into lockdown. Someone called in that a student with a gun was in the restroom threatening to kill himself. It was a prank, but now the FBI is involved. Someone is going to be very sorry they did this.
Earlier in the week a student in the system she used to teach for posted a pic online holding a rifle, standing clearly with an older relative and said they were going hunting. He was a known hunter. The superintendent called his mom saying he was going to be put on emergency removal because of a school shooter threat.The school district called law enforcement and half a dozen sherifs pulled up to the kids house and searched it and him, eventually determining there was no threat.

I was suspended for one day in 7th grade because one kid and I took a popsicle out of the Home Economics' freezer. I guess that wasn't so bad in retrospect.
