Trump along with his discipleship are welcome to call the Gulf of Mexico whatever it wants or, as in this case, decrees. He ought not however claim the US being treated unfairly, when the rest of the world continues to refer to it as the Gulf of Mexico.

"America" is not a a country. There are two continents, North and South, called "America." I may be wrong but the only large body of water named after a nation is the Indian Ocean.

We live in the United States of America.

There's also the Irish Sea, Gulf of Guinea, Mozambique Channel, Arabian Sea, Gulf of Thailand, The Great Australian Bight, Tasman Sea....

I'm sure there's more
