I don't think the world is ready for Donald Trump writing about his bowel movements.

Still, listening to him spend more time trying to pronounce Ulysses would be entertaining.

    I was only joking

Yeah, he could title the book Ulysses in Yosemite.

I could complain about the perfectly harmless non-political threads of mine that some motherfucker individual hijacked and turned into a Trump discussion, but I'm trying to be nice for the weekend.

I remember when he lost to Obama in the 2012 primaries, and thinking โ€œwell, his next chance would be 2020 and heโ€™d be way too old at that point.โ€ Well...

People fall into one of two categories - leader or follower, detail orientated or visionary...
Nothing wrong with either type, one just has to accept his shortcomings. The term "visionary" is not meant to imply some sort of superiority to a detail type, it's simple a word to describe someone who can see the long view.

Detail people are really good at keeping things organized. The tend to pursue careers that allow them to focus in on tiny little details, such as computer programming, accounting, etc. Visionary types aren't very good at handling the minutia of the moment. They are much happier looking further down the road. It takes both types - a detail type will do great counting the money a business generates, but wouldn't have a clue how to build a business. A detail person will do great at writing a computer program, but wouldn't have a clue how to develop the idea for the program. Likewise, a visionary will do great at guiding a business into the future, but terrible at keeping track of all the little details that pop up by the minute.

A smart visionary type will accept his limitations, and hire some detail types to handle the deatils. A good detail type will accept his limitations and find a visionary type to work for. Because without the vision there won't be any details to take care of, and without someone handling the details the vision never gets achieved. Things go haywire when a visionary type tries to be a detail type. Things go haywire when a detail type tries to be a visionary. One isn't superior to the other, one isn't more important than the other. Think of it like the differences in gender - it takes both men and women to make a baby. But you'll see problems when men try to be women or women try to be men.

Trump is a visionary type. Other visionary types can see it and understand how he thinks. He makes sense to them. Detail types cannot understand "vision think". They expect every "I" dotted perfectly, everything kept all in neat little rows that they can chew on and obsess over in great detail. The problems come when the detail types look up from their navel and try to look out into the next day.

TDS is most evident among detail types.

So in keeping with who I am..... go back to staring at your navel and leave the thinking to those equipped for the task......

My guess is Biden's been talked into this. I doubt he particularly wanted to run, but could see the hopelessness of the rest of the candidates. He's clearly passed his sell-by date.

I am a computer programmer who is also a visionary leader.

Me too. I can do, and have done, both the detailed implementation of various things and the visionary creation and leadership of organizations. But I seldom do both at the same time.
