I really doubt that. Everyone knows CA has massive exposure to wildfires.
I mean sure, can you find some twitter rando mocking him? But of his three hour interview, I doubt many people chose his comments on the potential for CA wildfires to mock.

"LA burned on his/her watch" will be the slogan they'll hear I'm sure. Mayor Bass had a career panic in her video (although maybe she was just trying to "say nothing", which is the opposite of what a leader should do), and I'd imagine Newsom is thinking his 2028 odds are also going up in smoke.
