They were burning Bibles and American flags the other night...Does that count?

Kindergarten Cop?

Goofy. I thought it was a funny movie.

I would love to know the true dimensions of all this. That is, how many woke are there really, versus how many others who either don't know from woke or if they do, don't care about it.
Are the MSM giving us a false picture? Saying to us, dance, puppet, dance? If so, to what degree?
I hate being led around by the nose.
Take a university, as a made-up example. Forty-five percent of the student body are woke, and are making the most noise. The rest are either meh or perturbed by the woke's presence and influence, but we never hear about those. How would we know? Are there social media threads that are specifically non-woke and talking about it?
Same with other entities.
I know woke is widespread. But how much, compared to the general population?
I can almost guarantee one thing. For any woke 22 and under, the thrill will fade, and they will wake up one morning and wonder what the hell that was all about.

In my house we have a sample size of two teenagers. One is definitely woke, the other definitely isn't. As for the parents....

I wonder if there's a minimization of the impact parents have on the worldviews of their kids, due to the internet and all the pop culture ideas it surrounds kids with. That and how schools are intentionally acculturating the young minds moreso than in the past.

Don't teach them what to believe. Teach them how to think critically about what to believe. Don't worry too much about what conclusions they come to while young. It is normal to be idealistic at that age. Their judgement will mature.
The best gift you can give them is the ability to reason.

There has always been a generation gap of views. That’s not news. Those from strong families will ultimately value the relationship they have with that tribe because there is no one else who truly cares.
The problem is that increasingly people don’t come from a strong family and it is no longer the majority. Where they will develop an identity from is their journey.

I am not optimistic that a good society can be built without that basic unit being the norm.

Absent any examples of what local author and busy body Lois Leveen (never heard of her) sees as promoting a school to prison pipeline I am clueless as to what she's talking about. The villain is a white drug dealer, so is not exactly a racist stereotype.
"Kindergarten Cop has been replaced by a second showing of John Lewis: Good Trouble, a documentary about the recently deceased congressman and civil rights leader. Other films in the series include Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Xanadu, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, and The Shining."
So, apparently they will replace "too grim for children" with a super boring but very woke documentary of a world gone by.

My 22-year-old is woke-lite, and took a class in college nicknamed "Bullshit Detecting". Unfortunately it was mostly focused on sniffing out the bullshit from the right and not the left, and so it is more difficult for her to detect the latter.

Large enough to move the needle, and one change does lead to another for good and ill.
