Driving home from Western PA this evening, Finley announces that he needs to use the potty. I pull over at a gas station, we rush in and find a line of teenage boys waiting for the single person men’s room with the occupied sign up. I ask the boys with the much better bladder control if the 5 year old doing the potty dance can cut ahead? No. So I notice the single occupant ladies room is unoccupied. I take Finley in, lock the door and he takes care of his business. As we walk out, one of the boys asks in a stunned voice “Did you just take him into the women’s room?” Finley looks him directly in the eye and states “ A man has to do what a man has to do…”

That is hilarious! We actually have a foldable toilet seat (sits about 10" off the ground when unfolded) we keep in the car in case we don't have access to a bathroom and one of the kids needs to poop. Luckily have only had to use it once. And I've done the ladies room move before as well... gotta do what you have to do, for sure. I might even take the kid in next time

Many places are just putting in multi-sex one holers. It's the best idea.
