That sounds like fanfic. Why would Bongino leave being the heir apparent for Rush to take a government service role like that?

I could see him advising, but not leaving his budding media gig.

Agreed. That's why I found the appointment of TuCa astonishing.

    Well, one of the reasons...

If there is any constant with US Admins us that Press Secretaries come and go with the seasons. That FuCa is there for now - to handle the first “nasty” opening rounds of the bout.

    Elbows up!

I'm surprised JKP has lasted this long.

OTOH, letting her go would have been a mistake.

Tucker's not strong enough for press secretary. I really would have preferred Shapiro...

Trump isn’t big on making people divest of their money-making activities while holding office.

Bongino has a top ten podcast, owns part of Rumble and has a nationally syndicated radio show.

              He's not hurting...

Gaetz seems like the worst pick so far. Let's see if he is confirmed. I think he has made lots of enemies.

This move would undermine the good choices that he has made and would build a solid wall of opposition to much of his Presidency. This is a singularly bad move and I will very much encourage the Senate to not confirm the nomination.

Maybe it's 6D chess - have Gaetz fail confirmation, after throwing a bone to the crazy end of the GOP. They're satisfied, and he can say, "Look, I tried."

                                        @Jolly said in President-Elect Trump's cabinet:

I think Gabbard is a bit light for the job, but I can see going along with it.

                                        Gaetz is a hard "No".

Yeah? Go check out the magats on X. They are ecstatic for Gaetz and are threatening Thune if he doesn’t rubber stamp Gaetz and are threatening any Republican Senators if they don’t vote for him.

The whole coalition falls on this point.

And there is no doubt that if Gaetz gets the post, Lawfare becomes de rigueur.
