President-Elect Trump's cabinet

I'm disappointed I didn't anticipate that DOGE acronym earlier. We've all talked about Elon and the government efficiency... seems obvious in retrospect.
Personally, I'm hoping there is a Spectacular Human Intelligence Bureau Agency (SHIBA) entity formed, too. I'll have to see how my crypto is doing.
Anyway... fun it ends on July 4th (250th anniversary of reminding @Doctor-Phibes how awesome our militias were).
My employment is indirectly associated with the federal government, so it'll be interesting to see if I'll need to find a job as @jon-nyc 's gardener (once they leave for Mexico) to pay the bills in 2026...

I am not sure why people think that the way President Trump will pick people for his cabinet will be different from the last time.
Last time, we were told (by himself) that we was a businessman who had decades of experience in hiring people and only hired the best. I dont see him changing his style unless to make that there is some sort of "loyalty" question in the hiring.

“The word ‘loyalty’ is often used,” Bolton told CNN’s Jake Tapper. “I think that’s the wrong word, actually. I think what Trump wants from his advisers is fealty, really a feudal sense of subservience.”

Yep, Bolton is a great source.

Will Rudy Giuliani get a post?
How about Mike Lindell?
Sidney Powell? -
Pete Hegseth for SecDef.
Was NOT expecting that.
He'll probably be the first SecDef with ink.

Pete's views:
- Abhors DEI in the military
- Thinks generals are not accountable for failures
- Does not want females in certain combat roles
More...
I don't know if Pete makes it through confirmation or not...

Interesting how we perceive age. US Grant was Secretary of War at age 37. Hegseth is 44.
Never forget Secretary AWOL:

Agreed, I've mentioned before it was surprising how youthful NASA was during the 60s space race. For example, the Flight Director (played by Ed Harris in Apollo 13) was like 35 when he was in charge of all the apollo missions.

He's not wrong, for the most part. I'm not smart enough to know the solution, but cutting federal spending on government agencies seems like a drop in the bucket to tackle the bigger issue of growing crippling national debt, the looming social security crisis, etc...

So let’s keep pouring buckets of water into the boat to sink it faster? The debt is one issue, Social Security another. Neither will get fixed so long as the we continue to let the easy fixes go unchecked… If we see the Government actually fix the spending problems, the people will be more likely to take on the challenges of the Ponzi schemes and debt crisis.
I do expect Trump to remove the Social Security cap, which will help take care of Social Security for the time being. I do wonder if he is

One thing Elon said that perked my ears, was the fact that agencies are going beyond what was specified by Congress.
That one change could save a lot of money.

Citizens are going to tune into government like never before, this will be good. Let the exploding heads explode. That is part of the point.
