Are we targeting the wrong thing with sanctions?
-
Current Western sanctions tend to be too broad and sporadic to cripple Russian defense production. A better approach would be a mixture of economic sanctions and diplomatic pressure focused on Russia's artillery supply chain, concluded the report. "A concerted approach, with additional resources dedicated to enforcement and disruption, will have a greater chance of success."
I wonder how effective that would be? Seems like it would just like we are doing now. I dont know if more diplomatic pressure on countries like China would make a difference.

Major General Pavel Klimenko…. A Russian army general in charge of a unit alleged to have tortured its own soldiers and murdered a U.S. citizen was reportedly killed in Ukraine this week, becoming the eighth Russian general to die since President Vladimir Putin ordered the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
I wonder if he was fragged?

Thoughts on that? Ukraine doesn't seem to be doing very well lately.
Though I did read (and can't find) that the Nork soldiers didn't stand up well. Perhaps too much pr0n?

Can't rebuild the Russian empire without Crimea, after all.
