Mark Walker, in his book, talks about the disruptive effect of light when you're supposed to be sleeping. Mrs. George likes a bit of light in the bedroom at night. I've taken to wearing a sleep mask.
I can't prove that it helps me sleep, but it feels that way.
Good enough for me.

Once you go sleep mask, you don't go back.

Do you do any white noise? I’ve taken to playing tracks of thunderstorms at night. It works great, but the problem is I wind up sleeping through real rain showers when they occur.

Nah. I actually have taken to wearing earplugs. I started using them on train trips (horn, etc).
the problem is I wind up sleeping through real rain showers when they occur
Is that a bad thing?

Our bedroom has skylights. My wife loves it for the light in the mornings. I love it for the sound rain makes when it hits. I love dozing in there with the sound of rain. The recording is nice, but it’s like the difference between a live orchestra or a digital recording.
