That’s this weekend. Beautiful day so we are going to drive down the Ohio River to George Clooney’s home town. We’ll have lunch at a very old inn there, take the ferry across the river and home on the Ohio side of the river. Should be a good date day.

Sure wish we had that down here.

I’ve just been informed that we are going to the Rosemary Clooney Museum. World’s largest collection of White Christmas memorabilia.

This is from the Minnesota Zoo. They converted an old elevated monorail line into a 1.5-mile elevated pedestrian walkway (the longest in the world, akshully). It's about 75 feet off the ground and takes you through the tree canopies. No color editing on this one.

I got out for the first time in about a week of being floored by the spicy cough.

Around here, things don't dry up as much in the fall as you might expect, and so things stay pretty green in addition to the changing leaves. And for some reason, the reds really pop around here. Really brilliant crimson trees.

I tried to play around with this on a walk-about we had over the weekend by using a yellow filter on my camera. Then I corrected the color balance once I saved the images. This brings them back to mostly normal, but not quite; the greens get a little turquoise, and the reds really pop.

Kiddo freaking has a blast because she can run around wherever and get her feet all sandy.

Beautiful colors! Wonderful pics. We even got a few really red leaves up here.
