Excited for lunch today

My favorite local BBQ spot has daily specials which are sometimes pretty special. Today they are making Ruebens. This was my dad's favorite food, and one of mine as well. I've never tried the Rueben here. The bread could be more grilled and crispy looking. We'll see how that goes. The rest looks amazing.

well, rye bread PMed me a couple days ago. It feels diminished and offended, as a Trump supporter, to be called a "Trump Deification Syndrom" sufferer. That's why it doesn't post anymore. I think we can all learn a valuable lesson here.

My dad made his reputation in advertising when he did a campaign for Rubel's Rye bread as toast. My brother got to be the hand that came in on the commercial and I was sooo jealous. To this day I love rye toast.
