I've seen lots of Julys like this.

What's the plural of July? Julies? Yep. That's it. Feels wrong.

Here in DC, we are used to the week long stretch of 100+ degree index days. Muggy, gross, etc. I'm trying not to have recency bias, but I really don't recall nearly the entire month of July (28 of 31 days) being above 90, plus heat index. And 28 days is technical...I know at least one of the 3 days hit 89 degrees. I'd wager it's the hottest since we've kept records.

Not even close. Jolly’s area may be a wee bit better than where I was on the delta. It was miserable.

It's as bad. The other day the temp was 96. The heat index was 110. I went through three shirts that day.

Surprisingly (at least to me), the hottest big city in the world, when you take a 24 hour average 365 days a year, is Bangkok Thailand. Temperature does not change much from month to month, and it does not get that cool in the nighttime (which I think is why the city is the hottest).

Average temp in April (hottest month) (night plus day) = 89 F and average temp in Dec (coldest month) = 79 F

High humidity also so heat index is usually quite high

@jolly would probably feel like it was home. LOL

Fine with me. In DC... you get 4 months of "freezing rain" where the temps hover around 35-40, sometimes could be snow, sometimes ice, sometimes rain. I'd rather have 4 months of cold snow and know what to expect. Plus, autumn lasts longer and the summers have a lower dew point. Yes, please.
