We’re thinking about doing a midweek trip up to NYC in early December. Take the train up on a Monday evening, spend Tuesday and Wednesday in the city and take an early train back on Thursday.

Besides Rockefeller Center and The Lion King, are there any other suggestions?

Acquarium. Zoos. You got the huge Bronx zoo but even the one in Central Park is cool. They have penguins.

There are commercial spots with bouncy houses and elaborate climbing things.

Museum of Natural History- squid and the whale etc.

Even the intrepid bait and space museum would be awesome at his age. (Retired carrier with planes in it including a sr 71 blackbird and a shuttle )

Yes, they pull the bait fresh, right out of the Hudson.

The museum of Natural History is perfect.

Is the Empire State Building worth a trip? I think the Staue of Libery would be too time consuming for a quick trip.

I haven’t been up there in years but it was cool when I was there.

You have so much to see in DC. At this age, why invest in NYC?

If you can, take a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, but start at like 6am if you can. We did that one time with our kid, it was nice before it gets crowded by mid morning.

@Mik I miss DC for that reason. I'm glad we took advantage when we could, took our kid to a billion things... or sometimes just walking around the monuments in the morning, or feeding ducks near the constitutional gardens.
