If I'm awake, I'm wearing shoes.

Shoes stay at the door. Inside it’s either bare or slippers.

Once inside I’m free to put on my 7” fuckme pumps.

It seems like as people get older (not talking about you @89th ), there is more of a need for support and bare feet are not as comfortable.

(Side story - a while back there was an article in the local paper about a mountain man from Taiwan who was about 80 years old and had never ever worn shoes. The government gave him his first pair of shoes, and he thanked the government for their generosity but said that the shoes were too uncomfortable to wear and he would rather be barefoot. LOL)

I wear shoes. I'm supposed to take them off but I always forget.

Growing up in the UK, nobody took off their shoes. When we moved to Canada, where almost everybody does, particularly in the winter, I repeatedly embarrassed myself by bringing snow in with me onto people's beautiful hardwood floors.

            I was only joking

Growing up we also rarely took off shoes when coming inside (unless muddy). I thought it was weird/fancy when I'd go to someone's house and they took shoes off at the door. It's funny what is normal to you based on how you grow up... (Now in my house we always take shoes off in the mudroom [next to garage door] once we come inside)

                    Never shoes, always carpet slippers.

                        Usually moccasins.

But as for walking in the house...If my boots aren't muddy, I wear 'em.
