I'm not in favor of any entertainer making public political endorsements. You tend to piss off part of your paying customers.

I agree. I doubt that Taylor Swift (of Ted Negent) knows more about politics than I do. So, why should I listen or care who they endorse.
But, assuming that half of her followers in Instagram are from the US, and if only 2% of those vote for VP Harris that would not have voted, that is 2.5MM people. So, I think it will move the numbers in VP Harris's favor.

@jon-nyc , I think you’re looking at Vance’s statement through partisan eyes. Probably I am too. If you’re looking for reasons to dislike the candidate, you can definitely see something in that statement to point to and yell “misogynist!” Great. 45–47% of the people agree with you. But they would have, anyway. Another 45-47% think that you and Taylor are being ridiculous. Okay.
It still ultimately comes down to that 6-10% that are either truly undecided or are like me, trying to decide if they are going to participate in this election at all. I don’t think that group is really going to give a rats ass about the statement. The childless cat ladies were already voting for Kamala with or without Vance’s help. That 6-10% are likely to probably agree with the sentiment that they prefer candidates with children. They do think it’s ridiculous that non-parents elevate their pets to a similar level as children, and they think that having Children can help keep you a little more focused on the future.

I think more of the low-information, low-propensity voter who knew nothing about Vance and are now given a good reason to dislike the guy.

No matter what scenario or side you are on, her endorsement is 0% a positive thing for President Trump.
Best case for him is it has a minimal positive impact for VP Harris.

On the positive side, the childless cat ladies are providing food for all the illegal immigrants, so that's saving the authorities some money.

The majority of Taylor Swift fans are not in the US and cannot vote.
The largest block of her fans in the US are under 18 and cannot vote. The next largest block are female college aged, and if they were going to vote, already were going to vote for Kamala. The sizeable number of adult Swifties were already voting Kamala.
Now, I could see a number of her fans that weren’t going to vote becoming a little more energized to vote, but my guess is that fades between now and then. A very very few might actually vote. It’s not going to move the needle.

@Horace Well, it wasn't too long ago that he indicated that he liked her, she "was beautiful", and wondered if she was a secret supporter of him.
