My gut reaction is that is absolutely something I do not need, and makes me want less of Alexa, even.
I'm sure I could make our house really "smart" if we want, but we use our Alexa (and Google) mini devices 99% of the time to play music, usually background songs while we eat dinner as a family, sometimes for the kids to have a dance party. And 1% of the time we use it to ask questions, such as how many days until christmas, or what does a unicorn sound like.
