Joint Base. Army normally handles base security when they are the partner.

Shirley you have passed by these types of main gates. And especially at 430am. Normally there are a few troops inside, probably on their phone, with a main person ready to stand up and check an ID when a vehicle pools up. Sometimes they have a vehicle next to them, not always on. If you look at the map of this place, the main gate is off of Military Road (or some name).... I can very easily see an SUV slowly drive by, open window, fire shots, and then floor it... within about 20 seconds they are lost in the grid of the city.
