Democracy?

You can laugh, doesn’t make it any less true. (I get that your idea of what’s good for the country and Joe’s diverge somewhat).
-
If we were doing what was good for the country, The Resident would have left over a year ago...
The Dems are in it for power. That's why they stabbed Biden with multiple knives like murdering Caesar.
And if they'll do that to the man that got 81M votes last election and won over 95% of his party's delegates, wonder what they'll do with the MSM and the voting booth?

No party of an incumbent has had a
realcompetitive primary since 1980.FIFY. The D primary was quite real. It actually happened. Millions of people cast their votes, only to have those votes tossed away. By democracy, I suppose Dean Phillips ought to be the nominee, since he had the second most popular votes…

It was only 15M or so, and they were little people, anyway...
-
I heard someone mention a post-debate poll that said 75% of democrats wanted someone other than Biden.
The GOP has had weeks to plan for this. You’d think they could have come up with a better talking point than ‘this is an anti-democratic coup’.
-
In all fairness, I’m sure this isn’t how Kamala wanted this to go down. I’m sure she wanted him to win reelection.
And then have to step down in February of 2025…

You sir, are right.

If President Biden had indicated a year ago that he was not going to run for election, I really doubt that VP Harris would be the nominee today.
-
Some highlights from a Marist poll:
87% of Americans think Biden’s decision to drop out of the 2024 presidential race was the right thing to do. 12% believe it was the wrong thing to do.
77% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents say Harris should be the party’s nominee. 22% think the Democrats should find someone else to challenge Harris.

Too bad opinion polls aren’t democratic. By the way, 77% of the Pro-Biden voters in 2020 chose not to participate in this year’s primaries. Choosing not to vote is a choice as well.
-
71% of pro-trump voters from 2016 failed to vote in the 2020 primary. That’s par for the course in uncompetitive primaries.
