    20 years old. His parents are younger than me. Crazy.

    Still lists his parents house as his home address.

    Registered Republican. Clearly not a Trump fan. Gave $15 to ActBlue when he was 17.

    What else?

    Hmmm ... I am thinking one not old enough to vote probably isn't old enough to donate to political campaigns. :man-shrugging:

      @Axtremus

      From the FEC website:

      Minors

      An individual who is under 18 years old may make contributions to candidates and political committees, subject to limitations, if:

      The decision to contribute is made knowingly and voluntarily by the minor;

      The funds, goods or services contributed are owned or controlled by the minor, proceeds from a trust for which he or she is a beneficiary or funds withdrawn by the minor from a financial account opened and maintained in his or her name; and

      The contribution is not made using funds given to the minor as a gift for the purpose of making the contribution, and is not in any way controlled by another individual.

        I wouldn’t take the registered R fact to mean anything. There have long been movements to register for a party to disrupt their primaries.

          Or who knows, maybe his parents are Republicans. Lots of kids register the same as their parents, and change later.

              Registered to his father, according to WSJ.

              Also this:

              https://www.wsj.com/livecoverage/trump-rally-incident/card/suspected-shooter-had-explosive-devices-in-his-car-sources-say-nqpDI2AqQQNtSvYtEpS9

              Authorities found explosive devices in the car of the man who officials say tried to assassinate former President Donald Trump, according to people briefed on the investigation.

              The car, which was driven by Thomas Matthew Crooks, was parked near the Trump rally in Butler, Pa., on Saturday, the people said.

              Police received multiple reports of suspicious packages around near where the shooter was, authorities said, prompting them to dispatch bomb technicians. Investigators were still working to make sure the scene was clear well into the night. They also searched Crooks’s home and spoke with his family.

                From BBC:

                According to US media reports, Crooks was wearing a T-shirt from Demolition Ranch, a YouTube channel known for its guns and demolition content. The channel has millions of subscribers featuring videos on different guns and explosive devices.
                Law enforcement officials believe the weapon used to shoot at Donald Trump was purchased by Crook's father, the Associated Press news agency reports.
                Speaking on condition of anonymity, two officers told AP that Crooks' father bought a weapon at least six months ago.

                      Plenty of wackos out there. This would happen more often if security allowed it. Seems just like a mentally unstable dude who wanted to do something big in life, probably devoid of any feelings. Who knows.

                                    One detects the faint whiff of hope in the air, hope against hope, that the attempted assassination of Trump can be blamed on Trump.

                                          I heard about someone who allegedly knew him say that he was a really bad shot and was embarrassed about it. Not sure if that's true at all.

                                          But this could be as simple as him going after the most high profile target in the world to disprove those who made fun of him.

                                          There doesn't have to be a political explanation.
