Columbia “fishing” shirts

I wear these too. I’ve many + the “Silver Ridge” ones. I started by scooping from my kid’s bag of donation stuff. Perfect for painting or gardening, but especially sweaty hikes. I buy ladies ones when I can on sale, but men’s will do. They are pretty much all I wear in summer.

Sure were a lot of negative reviews, about size, recent quality of material. Seems the sizes are much larger than expected, so the advice was to buy online a size smaller than usual. Maybe I'll try one, I've never bought a shirt online. There are stores other than Costco? I didn't know that.

@Rainman I haven’t read reviews for awhile, but I do know for a while, Columbia (&other brands) were using recycled polyester (both shirts & fleece). Imo these recycled polys are not good. They don’t feel the same , wash the same, or look the same (after their first wash). Yes, I think Columbia fits big. I’ve bought these as gifts for a few guys.

Hmm, I’ve noticed the most recent long sleeve shirt needs to be lightly ironed coming out of the laundry, whereas the others do not. I wonder if it’s recycled polyester?

My wife and lovely children surprised me with several more along with several pair of shorts…
The shorts are comfortable, and man, they really dig into the fishing thing. The pockets have drainage, and one pair actually comes with an attached bottle opener and a little line cutting tool…
Man, these really are a dad look, but damn are they comfortable today (91, real feel 100)

Nice! I don't really follow fashion trends, they come and they go, I've been wearing the same style shorts and jeans for a while... normal stuff. I have a few pairs of cargo shorts that are just highly functional in the right setting. Use one pocket for your wallet, the other for your keys, cell phone in normal pocket... it just makes SENSE. (As does the bottle opener... although I'm more of a beer can guy when on a boat)

Ha, I am wearing a Columbia "fishing" shirt right now. I have pretty much standardized my wardrobe with these shirts. No Columbia pants, though.
That opener or cutting tool or whatever, I hope that's detachable.

Still trying to figure that out… There is a small secured pocket to keep it in, though. So when I wash I can secure it.

According to the internet, you can't remove it (without cutting it), but just put it in the pocket and it's fine when you wash it.
