Every election is "the most important evah!" or so I've been told since I've voted starting in 2000. I think DeSantis vs Harris is much more impactful than two nursing home residents fighting over the bridge table.

Was Eisenhower important? JFK? How about Nixon in '68? Reagan in '80? Clinton in '92?

Yes, some are more important than others. This November is a watershed moment. I'm going to place it on par with Reagan for lasting impact.

Trump has raised $2 million since his conviction.

        $2 million per hour.

          Actually...The 24-hour total was $52,800,000.

          That's $2.2M/hr.

Yeah, but with Bidenflation that works out to $837 in 2020 dollars.

I don't think the people donating the money care.

I think you're right. I'd imagine it also depends how the solicitation is worded whether it is a campaign donation or not.

Trump didn’t use donated funds for the NDA. It was Trump Organization money. There was never any question that it was. The question at the center was whether the $150K paid counted as a campaign contribution. The FEC (the group with the responsibility to decide and prosecute such things) said no. The prosecutors of NY and Judge Merchan decided that they know Federal Election Law better than the FEC and just went with the assumption that it was. And then proceeded to tell the jury that it was… Kinda like, hey we are just going to assume that he murdered the guy, now you need to decide if he used a gun or not in the murder.

And they denied testimony regarding that.

Viz: Car crashes into building killing someone. Driver is accused. Defense wants to call expert witness that will show the brakes on said car are poorly designed and prone to fail. Judge doesn't allow expert witness.

The other question I have and am not willing to read the transcript… How exactly did they mislabel the transactions? Lawyers regularly negotiate NDA’s and often pay out of their account with reimbursement from the client. Would that not count as Legal Fees? Honestly curious…

Trump said that in his news conference. He hired Cohen as an attorney. Cohen was paid for his legal work. Trump's accounting firm posted Cohen's pay under the title of legal fees, as testified by Trump's lead accountant

Of course they don't care how the funds are used.

Tell them the donations will be used for hush money, they'll probably donate twice as much.
