When I clicked on the "unread topics" link of TNCR and saw "BRRRRT" I knew exactly what this thread was going to be about without opening the thread.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

The video is from a YT content creator that started a new channel. It's got a bit of the "Dark Skies" vibe, but is much better researched, doesn't repeat itself multiple times and the video/pictures actually match what is being talked about.

I did too. That's OK. I'm very fond of the Warthog and think we should keep them flying.

Told this story before, but there is nothing like driving down a gravel road through the Kisatchie National Forest, having an A-10 do a low -level snap roll and make a simulated gun run on your VW Rabbit at just above tree level.

            It will get your attention.

              Another A-10 story...

The 23rd was stationed here. They are the only unit in the Air Force officially allowed the shark's mouth paint scheme, because they are the direct descendents of the famed Flying Tigers.

Anyway, Larry (#2 guy in Radiology) knew one of the pilots pretty well and told him how much the kids liked watching them fly. Larry lived a few miles from the strafing range.

Since the pilot knew where Larry lived, he decided to give the kids a thrill one Saturday mid-morning. He and his wingman flew over Larry's house a couple of times and the kids came out to watch. The pilot then made a lower pass over the house and gave a wing-waggle as he pulled up and flew back to base.

              The kids loved it.

Larry's wife? Not so much. The A-10 knocked some of her dishes and glassware onto the kitchen floor, causing broken glass to be everywhere. 😱😄

Cool video and interesting engineering solutions, including the "crude" final one that solved the problem with the gas exhaust.

It was Jerry Nadler Eric Swallwell.
