I think that the article you posted is pretty correct.

    Here is one more

    https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4681487-mark-sanford-nikki-haley-donald-trump-response-support-2024/

Former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford (R) criticized ex-GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley’s recent announcement that she would vote for former President Trump in November.

“Well, I’d say, in some ways, it’s to be expected,” Sanford responded to the news in an interview on CNN. “And what I mean by that is, ambition kills off a lot of things.”

“And what you have here is somebody obviously wanting to be relevant in 2028,” he added during the “CNN NewsNight” appearance.

    and

Throughout the GOP presidential primary season, Trump went after Haley viciously, giving her the nickname “bird brain” and consistently joking about where her military husband was during her campaign. Michael Haley, who serves in the South Carolina National Guard, was deployed overseas during the early days of the election cycle.

In the interview Wednesday, Sanford told host Abby Phillip that Haley was also looking at what could benefit her political future, saying she is “absolutely putting ambition first.”

“And she’s sort of doing the middle calculation, and the political calculation of ‘What will help me most if I wanna run again?’”

I think it's simple, in the unlikely event Trump is unable to run, Nikki steps in and she'll want to have the established message that "I was voting for Trump so now you can vote for me".

I've heard exactly one thing about Trump's platforms, I mean what he's actually talking about, on his campaign trail so far. That one thing is that he has seemed to moderate himself. My particular ways of getting political info osmotically through the environment has been almost totally dry when it comes to Trump this time around. I mean, beyond the ever-present sneers and hate.

          There are 2 kinds

Those that say they support Mr. Trump.

Those that wish they could say they support Mr. Trump.

Most of those sound good to me. Not sure where the gov't plays a role in women's sports and the rules any given sporting authority chooses to impose.

I find it interesting that MSNBC, that bastion of women’s rights, is condemning Haley for having ambition.

                        1. Yes

                        2. That’s a much harder climb. Not sure it’s really possible.

                        3. That’s the purpose of ending stock trading for Congress and Staff. I would even go further. Mutual funds managed by professionals only for all levels of Government.
