I think you could easily do three weeks in the British Isles.

I’m actually considering something kinda insane…10 day England/Scotland Trip then a (god help us) a 9 day Mediterranean Cruise on Disney… I know, I know. I hate cruises. I really do. And you land in a city at 7AM and the boat leaves at 7PM. Not exactly a great way to really enjoy an area… But… 5-6 year old kid… On top of that, you do get a little bit of a taste for the different areas, see some grand sights, and maybe pick out a few places to return to…

Another option is 10-11 Days in England and another 10-11 days in France, but 3 of those days will be at Disneyland Paris. Again, 6 years old…. If we go this route, I see 2 days in Normandy , 3 days in Paris, 3 at Disney, and 2 at Strasbourg (I am enamored with the idea of Strasbourg. French cuisine, German beer, and Venetian Canals…

3 days in London, 2 days in a neat small town in the Lake District or Cotswold, then a 2 day trip to Lanark, 1 day in Edinburgh, stop at the HP Castle and a day on the East Coast, then off to stage 2.

              Sounds like a plan.

              Or two plans.

That holiday sounds like my idea of hell. Each to their own I guess but I want the traveling to stop once I arrive.

i havent been to disneyland in paris, only orlando and anaheim, but i cant imagine its much different from the US venues, so why spend three days in europe at an american theme park? u can see the same attactions without a flight across the atlantic. just asking, i know little kids are involved, but there are european theme parks, gardaland in italy comes to mind, but im sure there are others.

Right. Plus the European theme parks don’t have anything like the lines you see at Disney.

We took the boy to theme parks all over Europe, including the two oldest in the world, in Denmark and Austria.

If you want the best of what Britain has to offer, visit Dismaland.

I'm kidding, under no circumstances go there. In fact I wouldn't go to any theme parks in the UK. There's a couple of good Safari Parks that are good for younger kids - we went to Longleat last summer as it was close to Stonehenge which we also visited. Stonehenge is interesting from a historical perspective, but at the end of the day it's a bunch of massive rocks arranged in a pattern.

I’ll try to take a look for some of the alternatives. The reason Disney popped up as an idea is due to the age appropriate aspect. A lot of parks have great thrill rides and adventures for tweens and above, but aren’t necessarily great for the littles. Disney is pretty well rounded for everybody. Plus, we thought that with all of the different culture, foods, etc… Giving him 2-3 days of familiarity may be a comfort.
