Another thing that’s changed, people dress like shit now, even at night. I might have been one of 2-3 guys wearing a jacket in the upscale restaurants we were in last week.

Guys were dressed like they were going bowling, even when the girl with them was dressed nicely.

You should have visited one of the buffets…

The steak place at the Riviera was maybe the best restaurant that I have ever been to. The meal for the girl of the moment and myself was ~$400, and there was a 50% tip. Well deserved as well.

For a $600 meal, you should have gotten blued, screwed and tattooed.

      At least twice.

Don’t you worry, brother. I was very well treated….

That fountain is right in front of the Bellagio. The girlfriend and I had a great view of it during one of our dinners. This was Tuesday night.

That’s the Italian place i believe. We ate there at Christmas.

Yep. Lago. I was lucky to get the patio on a few hours notice. Though to do so I had to guarantee 150 per person minimum. When they handed me the wine list, I started at the bottom and worked my way up.

Was only in Vegas once to attend a Mining Show and Conference. Stayed at the Luxor. Couldn’t get used to the angled outer wall. Each time I went over to look out the window I would bang my head on the glass.

Neat place though but not sure that I would ever go back. The highlight for me was driving out to Valley of Fire State Park the day before returning home. That was truly something to behold and experience.

I used to say I’d never go because gambling didn’t interest me.

Then my old work buddies started an annual reunion usually there, though very occasionally in other cities.

They go for a week and golf every day and have outrageously expensive dinners every night.

Since I don’t golf, I go for just a couple days. I’ve grown to enjoy the trips.

Went to Valley at Christmas. Spectacular sights and hiking. I prefer the natural wonders around there to the casino stuff. Something about playing a game already rigged against me seems futile.

You look good, Jon. Yeah it's a shame more folks aren't dressing up. I've never been to Vegas, but would love to go one day. If I can somehow minimize the heat and crowds... same problem I have with Disney World, but I'll go there soon enough I'm sure. I don't gamble often, but have a lot of fun when I do. Poker, blackjack, and roulette... nothing too complex.
