It is human nature for us to hire people who are like ourselves - and/or have competencies beyond our own. I had a 50 something friend apply for a job at Google. She is brilliant and very capable - but she didn't have a chance of being hired by a 20 or 30 something. They don't want "old" folks working at their enterprise. Old folks don't fit in. And, I don't blame them. Diversity is one of those flashcard words. No criticism is permitted- lalalala...I'm not listening.

I believe diversity has been thoroughly, and rightly, discredited.
The diverse people understand this.
Others will come around eventually.

What's missing from this picture?
A person who would ever knowingly share a thanksgiving table with a Trump voter.

At this point I am fully prepared to lie and say I voted for the orange guy just to make the biggest assholes leave the table.

Remember that by voting 3rd party/write-in/whatever that you AS GOOD AS voted for Trump, in their opinion.

I've already been told that, yes.

No. You are voting for what or who you want. Period. The alternative is voting for the lesser of two evils.

Which may be the truth. But it's real politick.

I doubt people who vote third party are even particularly aware of what an administration for their candidate would be like. Message votes are fine, but if you live in a swing state, not very wise, if you do think there is a lesser evil between the two majors.
