So, what "big chain" other than BK and Mickey D's have a good burger?

Five Guys, Freddy's, Sonic, Smashburger, Habits, In-N-Out (although the one I ate at in Texas was substandard for the chain), Whattaburger, Culvers.

It's OK. Pricey, but y'know, NYC.

Close to me are Five Guys and Culvers.

The In-N-Out I had in San Francisco was nothing special.

The in n out here seemed the same as the ones in CA. Extremely crowded, long wait, nice help, ok food.

              Education is extremely important.

I have wondered if In-N-Out could maintain the level of quality they used to have while expanding. I don't think so.

It's the way of things. Look at Five Guys. Phenomenal still in the D.C. locations, decidedly "meh" everywhere else. Soon even the originals will suck.

                  Please love yourself.

The one in Henderson NV is good. Not as h=good as the one in El Monte, but good.

Shake shack…always want to take a nap afterwards. Delicious and pricey, not unlike their competitors.

I used to eat at the original, which is indeed a shack that sells shakes (and burgers) in Madison Park.

Credit Suisse’s NY headquarters is adjacent to the park at One Madison Avenue. As early as ~2005 or so, there was a live webcam that would show you the line there. We would periodically monitor it and head down at random times when the line was short to grab a burger. This was before they opened their second store.

Now I go probably twice a month with my son to one of the stores in Westchester. It’s good but every item on the menu is a sodium bomb.

They’ll end up, after a lot of drama, with the same formula they use every time they have a trifecta: take away health care and food assistance from low income families and use the money to fund tax cuts for their donors.

That was my objection to the Five Guys fries.

Needed to take some meds afterward.

                            Ours closed. I miss it.
