I don't understand why all of these BIPOC (aka anything except white) policies don't just update to focusing on income level or something. It's not about skin color, it's about helping give people a step out of poverty, right?

BTW does BIPOC include Asians?

It's about the narrative, and if they can find intelligent black people from stable homes and lift them up at every opportunity, they can become the oppressed-face success stories of the mainstream narrative. Nobody will ask, and nobody will care about whether they have ever faced any opposing forces in their lives due to their skin color. We'll all just pretend that the Claudine Gays of the world have insight into living while oppressed.
