Thanks for posting. I have an old historical atlas from high school but nothing in it is as detailed as this map.
Should send a copy to a few people I know who believe the Kremlin’s mythology about Little Russia.

The Germanies were insane. It explains a lot of what happened during the 1600s.

Lol. Exactly, although the Poles were also a significant part of that Lithuanian venture.

My biggest take away is the fragmentation and how countries (and tribes, etc) slowly coalesce over time. Clearly we will never know if this is right, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are no countries in 200 years as the world becomes so fast, connected, accessible, and culturally blended from mass migrations.
