Go magat, go broke - Rudy Giuliani edition

A judge presiding over Rudy Giuliani’s damages trial penalized the lawyer Friday for his “continued and flagrant” disregard of court order.
U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell said the decision means jurors will be told that Giuliani intentionally hid financial documents and other records in defiance of court orders. -
So Rudy walks out of the court proceeding which will decide how many millions he owes the Georgia election workers he defamed.
If you were the stupidest person on the planet, what would you do in that situation?
That’s right - defame them further to the cameras on the steps of the courthouse.

When you see him talk, he doesn't really come across as being all there. He's the drunk bloke in the corner of the pub.

“Of course I don’t regret it. I told the truth,” Giuliani said to a bank of cameras. “They were engaged in changing votes. … Stay tuned.”
So not only did he double down, he telegraphed that he’ll continue to defame them in the future.
Keep in mind, he was already declared guilty by summary judgement. Literally this very minute the jury is deciding how much he owes these two women.

The jury awarded Ruby Freeman $16,171,000 and Shaye Moss $16,998,000.
In addition, jurors awarded each of the woman $20 million for emotional distress.
Finally, they awarded them a total of $75 million in punitive damages, for a total award of nearly $150 million.
The amount is approximately three times the $48 million the plaintiffs were seeking.
$20 million for emotional distress.

His bankruptcy judge late Tuesday allowed the longtime ally of former President Trump to appeal the defamation verdict, but in the meantime, his bankruptcy proceeding has cracked Giuliani’s finances wide open, shedding light on his debts and overall standing.
Here’s what we’ve learned about Giuliani’s finances amid his bankruptcy. In addition to Freeman and Moss, the creditors with the largest unsecured claims against Giuliani include banks, lawyers, government tax agencies, golf clubs and other entities.
Giuliani owes more than $900,000 in taxes, most of which are federal taxes.
Between two golf clubs in West Palm Beach, Fla. — including the former president’s Trump International Golf Club — Giuliani owes nearly $40,000 in unpaid membership fees, though he disputes a large chunk of that amount.

Former New York Mayor Giuliani said on Sunday that his support of Trump showed he stuck to his principles.
That would "help me in heaven," said the lawyer, who's had his license suspended in New York and D.C.
Giuliani, who's filed for bankruptcy, also faces a panel recommendation that he be disbarred.
Rudy Giuliani predicted on Sunday that he'll be disbarred but said his loyalty to former President Donald Trump would be a boon for him "in heaven."
