‘Shameful’: White teen girls at Boston Sephora reportedly use dark makeup for blackface

The girls were asked to leave the store

A group of white girls at a Boston Sephora have been put on blast, along with their mothers, after the teenagers reportedly used dark makeup for blackface.

The teens were recently caught on camera at the Prudential Center store using the dark makeup samples on their faces. Their mothers stood by amid their kids’ “shameful” and “incredibly offensive” behavior at the store.

The girls were asked to leave the Prudential Center location, according to the company, which said it was “extremely disappointed” in the girls’ conduct.

The video went viral on TikTok before it was taken down from the site, but the video showing the alleged racist behavior can still be seen across other social media platforms.

“This is so wild,” the TikTok user says in the video. “This is so shameful. This is so shameful.”

The girls also reportedly made “animal sounds” while applying the makeup, the TikTok user posted.

What will it take for you to feel safe again?

I think that ship has sailed. I may never feel safe again. But that's not to say I've given up on my crusade to imprison those who make me feel unsafe.

In the comments, pretty much every single person took the poster's analysis of the situation at face value. I find it pretty much impossible to believe it was as she said it was. It makes no sense.

You’re not putting on a full mud mask at Sephora. It’s a store, not a spa. Beyond that is the question of the noises. If they were grunting like pigs, I can see it as a non racist joke. If they were making monkey/chimp noises, though…
