Actually I believe there are no rules against him serving the presidency from jail.

Sort of what I was getting at. The Constitution is remarkably short on disqualifications for POTUS. Being a felon is not one of them, AFAIK.

We’ve talked about this, he could pardon himself from federal prison barring a contrary SCOTUS decision. State prison he’d probably be superseded indefinitely by his VP via the 25th amendment.
