By the way, Pittsburgh is a 10 point dog. I’m not a gambler, but if I were I would put Luke’s college fund on that one…

Tickets at the 45, 3 rows back are now at $208… Karla gave me the go ahead, but it was kinda ominous the way she said it…

Of course I have to get there… 1-3 feet predicted…

It’s sorta like she views this as chips… she doesn’t really want Luke and I to go, but she also doesn’t want me y to have this as a point for a future debate, and she also knows that if I go, she gets a point for a future debate…

Question....If you have cheap seats and very few people show up, could you move to more expensive seats after the game starts?

By the rules? No. In practice? It happens, I’m sure. I wouldn’t. Not for something like this. Too easy to get caught and get the boot…

D2 and I attended a concert at Ravinia Park two years ago. It's an outdoor venue for musical performances. It has a picnic-like feel to it, with people hanging out on the lawn, enjoying picnic meals, wine, and music over speakers.

However, the pavilion is a covered part, with seats that are more expensive. Think outdoor concert under a roof.

When we got our seats, by concert time, there were many better seats unoccupied. I'd guess that at least a third of the seats in front of us were vacant. We considered moving up at intermission, but, yeah, you're right, we might have gotten booted out.

I heard the bills are paying $20 an hour (and free food) to anyone who comes out the day before and helps shovel snow out of the stadium. Do it!

Hell I made that much shoveling snow in college in 76-77.

A runner friend of mine was told by his very pregnant wife that he shouldn't worry - go out and enjoy himself with his buds - and there was no need to call home. The idiot didn't understand that he was supposed to call home.

Amazingly, he's still married - but he learned humility.

Oh yes. The other day the two older kids were being loud, and I told them to be quiet because they were going to wake up their baby sister… my wife said it’s ok, she wants the baby to get up so she can be fed. So I woke up the baby and brought her down to my wife, and learned that she actually did not want the baby woken up. Silly me.
