Transgender cyclists take gold AND silver medals at Chicago women's race
Two transgender cyclists have taken the top spots on the podium at the Chicago CycloCross Cup after triumphing in a women's race.
Tessa Johnson, 25, won first place in the women's SingleSpeed while Evelyn Williamson, 30, placed second in the race on October 7.
The transgender pair made headlines earlier this year for sweeping the competition at several women's races amid debate over the inclusion of transgender athletes in women's sports.
In the women's SingleSpeed race, Johnson took the gold and Williamson took silver, leaving only one biological female on the podium, Allison Zmuda, who won bronze.
Johnson also placed first in the women's Cat Half, winning $150 in prize money. Williamson placed fourth in that race, receiving a $75 prize.
I mean, you can’t even make a MAMIL joke here.

Boxers under the age of 18 must still compete as their birth gender.
However, the policy goes on to explain that USA Boxing will now allow for transgender boxers to compete in the category of their choice.
It continues: "A boxer who transitions from male to female is eligible to compete in the female category under the following conditions:
"The athlete has declared that her gender identity is female and has completed gender reassignment surgery.
So, the question is: How much body strength does a transgender woman (man?) have after "transitioning?"
Corollary question: How long before a (genetic) woman gets a severe injury from a transgender "woman"?

From the RWEC:
It’s pretty difficult not to despise Lia Thomas.
I know I do. What a sad, pathetic, disgusting human being.
I don’t despise him because he thinks he is “transgender.” If he wants to cosplay being a woman, it is no skin off my nose or anybody else’s. I think he is mentally ill or pretends to be, but as somebody who has mental illness in my family, I certainly don’t despise people for being afflicted.
I despise him because he is harming people for his own selfish purposes, using a trendy excuse to butt into women’s sports and take gold medals away from them–and of course to expose his genitals to women who definitely don’t want to see them.
Lia Thomas is not “stunning and brave,” but a cheater whose claim to be a woman is as valid as mine to be a cat.
Not that the alphabet ideologists wouldn’t fight for my right to use a litter box.

A national athletics association for smaller private colleges and universities around the U.S. adopted a new policy on Monday that bans transgender athletes from women's sports.
Why it matters: The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) is believed to be the first national collegiate athletic governing body adopt such a policy.
NAIA did so despite having no knowledge of transgender athletes competing in its postseasons to this point, according to CBS Sports.
However, all athletes may participate in NAIA-sponsored male sports, regardless of what gender they were assigned at birth.Catch up quickly: NAIA oversees around 83,000 student athletes at around 250 schools that are not apart of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA).
Its adoption of the policy only applies to NAIA competitions. NCAA rules allow transgender athletes to compete if they adhere to the guidelines of their international sport governing bodies.
Athletes governed by the organization will only be allowed to compete in women's sport if they were assigned female at birth, according to the new policy adopted by the NAIA's council of presidents with a 20-0 vote.
Such athletes can participate in team workouts, practices and other activities, but not in interscholastic competitions.

Transgender swimmer Lia Thomas lost a legal battle Wednesday challenging an effective ban on trans women competing in the highest levels of women's swimming, dashing her hopes of making the Summer Olympics in Paris next month.
Three judges on the Court of Arbitration for Sport dismissed Thomas’ request for arbitration with the World Aquatics governing body.
“The panel concludes that she lacks standing to challenge the policy and the operational requirements in the framework of the present proceeding,” the court said Wednesday in its ruling.
Thomas, who seldom gives media interviews, told ABC News’ “Good Morning America” in 2022 that one of her lifelong goals was to compete in the Olympics.
With Wednesday’s ruling in place, she will be unable to participate in this month's qualifying trials to compete in the Olympics.
Under rules established in 2022, World Aquatics banned transgender women who have been through male puberty from competing in women’s races. It also created an “open” category for which transgender athletes would be eligible.
Gutfeld: "Thomas said, 'Okay, I'll take my balls and go home.'"
