I've only heard that once and it was forever ago. Need to revisit.

      Please love yourself.

Is it the best version? Probably not for everyone else.

          Stewart.

Although George C. Scott wasn't bad, believe it or not.

No question, the Alistair Sim one. I grew up watching it, and that's the face I see when people say 'Scrooge'

            I was only joking

The Will Ferrell/Ryan Reynolds musical take on it is surprisingly good.

We grew up hearing the Laurence Olivier version every Christmas Eve. A family tradition. Loved the ghosts on the album cover. I still have the album somewhere around here.

The manuscript, in Dickens's handwriting, is in the Morgan Library here in the city. It goes on display occasionally, I've seen it once. The elder Morgan bought it when his kids were little. He used to read from it to his kids around Christmas time.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Gather up a grandkid or two, and watch the Muppet version. It's entertaining and you might be surprised who plays the part of Scrooge.
