          Wow. I have never hear of that before. It certainly would have been tough growing up like that. She obviously has a very severe case.

              Tourette’s is more than just vocal and physical ticks. It ebbs and flows and manifests itself along with numerous other disorders particularly ADHD, OCD and anxiety. Prescription medications that deal with the Tourette ticks can exacerbate the other disorders and vice versa. More recently there are however some fairly effective cognitive and rehab therapies that psychologists and speech pathologists can work on with some patients. Tourette and its associated disorders can be a debilitating disability for some but not necessarily for others.
