“Cry havoc and let slip the DOGE of war!”

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

I remember reading somewhere that the next wars (not only in the US, but worldwide) will be fought over water, not oil.

On our way to Vegas we saw Lake Mead and how far down it is. It's different than seeing it in pictures. More impact. Yet Vegas still uses a ridiculous amount.

Don't build cities in the desert.

BTW...Last time I looked, wasn't hydroelectric the greenest energy we had?

            Why do away with it?

They're not. Dams are extremely controversial. They drastically change ecosystems. That's not really up for any serious debate. The argument is whether those changes are actually as detrimental as they appear to be.

So let's tear down existing dams?

                    This ecosystem was destroyed.

Just to provide people with the water they needed to live and grow.

                    People are no darned good.

I think sometimes that makes sense. Not all dams are equally helpful to humans. But if they're generating a massive percentage of power and there aren't any alternatives, that would be very bad.
