FBI investigating explosion at US-Canadian border
-
Law enforcement officials have conducted a video canvass of the surrounding area in the hours since the incident occurred and found the car appears to have been at a nearby New York casino before the incident.
A casino. Sounds suspicious. What kind of terrorists would stop at a casino before proceeding to their target? Maybe to get one last shot of liquid courage? Or one last pull on the slots for old times’ sake?
Maybe there were no terrorists, but rather, just an alcohol impaired driver. Possibly even one from an ethnic minority group with a reputation for not being able to hold their liquor.
Questions abound.

A fiery crash occurring on a bridge connecting Canada and the United States on Wednesday was initially and erroneously reported as a terrorist attack. In actuality, the driver of the vehicle was a 56-year-old man who had traveled to Ottawa to attend a KISS concert.
The man, whose identity has not yet been revealed, was driving with his wife in a Bentley. The driver and the passenger died in the crash, and a Customs and Border Protection officer suffered minor injuries.bolded text

@blondie said in FBI investigating explosion at US-Canadian border:
I saw him do something similar while munching an apple a couple of weeks ago.
Yeah, I posted that.
"Some people say that..."
"Who? Which people? What are they saying..."
And it goes on and on.

As it turns out, it would seem that Monsueur P. P.’s accuracy is also just tad suspect:
On Thursday, Poilievre only pointed to CTV when talking about the "media reports" to which he was referring. But it appears Poilievre asked his question in the House before CTV's reporting was published.
The timestamp on the article indicates that it was published at 2:39 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Subsequent tweets from the article's author and CTV itself were published at 2:40 p.m. and 2:50 p.m. respectively. Poilievre asked his question at 2:25 p.m.
A number of American news outlets had begun reporting the incident as a terrorist attack before CTV's article was published. A Fox News reporter tweeted that the explosion was a terrorist attack just before 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Frankly, I think Monsieur P.P. handled the reporter’s question rather poorly.

Maybe alcohol or other substances were not involved after all.
