No idea what kind of meat that is.

            I'm afraid to research.

But seriously, it’s about what I’d expect from nuked beef.

I bought our first microwave oven as a Christmas gift for Mrs. George in 1982. It was a Panasonic, and I paid $700 - run your own inflation calculation. It was a beast. In fact, it was such a good unit that we kept it until we sold the house in 2013. Worked great.

But, yeah, browning was a challenge. Back in the day, you could buy a "microwave browning dish" to get a sort-of sear on the meat.

It was marginally effective, and I ended up not using it after a few tries.

But, remember, this was the early days of microwaving, long before we learned that the "do it all gadget" couldn't do it all.

Yep. One of my first friends in Springfield’s father owned an appliance store. She would defrost steaks and stuff for us around 74. It was like magic.

                      Amana "Radar Range" FTW!

ETA: The problem with defrosting shit in the microwave is that you end up cooking parts of the food.

I wonder when they were first commercialized.

My Dad saw one in operation at the 1939 World’s Fair in NYC.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
