The Dauphin Trudeau, like Macron, is quite prepared to surrender. To be expected from a perennial lightweight in foreign policy matters. He will not remain around much longer on the political landscape.
But if you think Trudeau is bad, you should hear the gibberish that falls out of the mouth of his Minister of Foreign Affairs, Melanie Joly. As a friend of mine in Ottawa says, “she never fails to underwhelm. I have no idea how she got into law school let alone graduate from it.”

Bibi is right:
While Israel is doing everything to keep civilians out of harm’s way, Hamas is doing everything to keep them in harm’s way.
It's essentially that simple, if you add on Israel's right and duty to defend and protect her citizens. It sucks, but the only other solution is some sort of international coalition to go in and weed Hamas out, hold them accountable, and install a better government. Odds of that happening?

Just remember that it was the Kremlin that controlled the messaging (among other things) on Syria at that time. The progressive West gave it a pass because it was led to believe that 1) US involvement in the conflict was neo-con imperialism and 2), go back to point 1 and realise that for the most part it’s just Arabs killing other Arabs, so there’s no reason to be too concerned.

Bibi: Pound sand.
Israel has no intention of handing Gaza over to the PA once the war is over, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Saturday night as he rebuffed US pressure to do so.
“The Palestinian Authority in its current form is not able to take responsibility for Gaza,” Netanyahu said. “After we fought and did all this, how could we hand it over to them?”
He noted that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has yet to condemn the October 7 massacre, which sparked the Gaza war, in which Hamas killed more than 1,200 people and seized over 239 hostages.
“Abu Mazen [Abbas], 43 days after the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, has refused to condemn it,” Netanyahu said, adding that there are Palestinian ministers who are celebrating the event.
And, it sounds like the Mossad is gonna get busy:

Heard Bibi in an interview tonight. He used the words "barbarians" and "eradicate" multiple times while discussing the Israeli response to Hamas.

Until Hamas and other Islamic fanatics realise that Israel will hurt them more than they can ever hurt Israel this will continue. That they are barbarians and must be eradicated is nothing more than semantics.

Interestingly, he didn't use the word 'Clusterfuck'.
Because that's what this is. And some of it is on him.
Yes, Hamas are barbarians. He's an incompetent.

I meant allowing it to happen, not what's happened since.
I also may have had a few beers when I posted. Reading the can, it says '7.2%'. Now it all becomes clear.
